Upcoming classes and workshops 2023
Happy new year! …a bit late I know.
Here’s what’s coming up in 2023 for classes and workshops.
In Schoolhouse for Art, Enniskerry the ongoing Wednesday evening portrait painting class is starting again next month.
Starting on February 1st there is going to be a new Wednesday morning painting class with me and top art history expert Mags Harnett. Copying The Masters From the National Gallery Ireland will to be a 9 week course in copying masterworks from the National Gallery of Ireland. The Schoolhouse has ordered 8 high quality reproductions of paintings by Ribera, Velázquez, Caravaggio, Tiziano, Raeburn and Lefebvre from the NGI especially for the class. We will use these reproductions to copy the pictures, first drawing then painting, on bespoke birchwood panels which will be provided. The course will also include a tour of the paintings in the gallery by Mags.
Finally in the Schoolhouse there is going to be a one day figure painting workshop on Saturday 4th March.
Lastly, at BlockT, in their fancy new venue in the Digital Hub. there’s going to be a weekend of painting the figure in oils next March.
