Friday morning life drawing, Enniskerry

Schoolhouse For Art, Enniskerry are offering a new drawing course called Foundations of Life Drawing featuring yours truly.

When I was at Florence Academy of Art Sweden we used to do a single figure drawing from the model from 5pm - 7pm on Monday evenings and again on Tuesday evenings. (an art school which actually teaches drawing! I know!) I did this for 3 years and it was one of the best parts of the curriculum in my opinion. That[s what I’m hoping to replicate with this class. The object is simple - to improve our drawing. That principally means working from life and getting measurably better at looking at the model, looking at proportions, gesture, body type mainly, but also light, form, space and anatomy, and rendering all that in pencil or charcoal.

It’s on Friday mornings 10AM-1PM for 8 weeks and the dates are October 20th - December 15th (with a break on November 3rd) €350
