Vassily Shulzhenko (Russia, 1949)

Shulzhenko graduated in printing in 70’s Moscow but also did painting. His gritty concoction is called grotesque realism apparently. I can definitely see the those features in his painting. I see lots of historical, social and surreal references in there too.
