Lui Liu / 刘溢 (1957 China)

Trained in China, Liu moved to Canada in 1991. Reading Liu’s “artist statement” didn’t leave me the wiser as to what his paintings are about. Safe to say I think that he paints a pungent mix of the surreal, grotesque and theatrical.
